A very busy wedding season has sadly come to an end, and I shall sure miss watching some of my closest friends getting hitched, therefore the 2017 season can’t come quick enough!
The weddings this year have been in a variety of locations…Wiltshire, Hertfordshire, London, Suffolk and Surrey. Living in London and having family in Herts has meant only accommodation necessary for three weekends, and here’s the low-down on those places:
Wiltshire – Premier Inn, Trowbridge
CLB and I plus another couple stayed for one night post wedding reception between Bristol and Bath. You always know what to expect from a Premier Inn (in a good way) so everything was just so. Comfy beds and a good breakfast selection as pro’s, shower being a little weak as a con. Overall a pleasant stay. The wedding venue was Wick Farm, a lovely barn location in the middle of the countryside.
Suffolk – Ufford Park Hotel, Woodbridge
I always love making a proper weekend of a wedding and this time round we did just that! On the first night CLB and I had dinner and drinks in the hotel bar followed by a bath for me and an early night. We decided to book the Classic Deluxe as it was two night break and the rooms were a slightly nicer. Breakfast wasn’t included in our rate and so we added it on for the morning of the wedding to ensure we were well and truly set up for the day.
The venue (check out the featured image shot) Glemham Hall was only a short taxi ride away from the hotel…top tip if you attend a wedding here or stay at the hotel, book taxi’s in advance as they are kind of in the middle of nowhere!
There is also a hair salon on site, Hairways, where I had my hair done on the morning of the wedding. There appeared to be more than one wedding nearby as the salon was jam packed so I’m glad I booked far in advance.
Surrey – The Swan Inn, Chiddingford
The Swan Inn played host for CLB and I for two nights, pre and post wedding. Its a lovely little pub with accommodation near to the location of the wedding Ramster Hall. Breakfast is included in the rate and its a great location for exploring the Surrey Hills if you don’t have a wedding to attend!
I’ve leave you with a few venue shots, just for the sake of it 🙂 Find out all about the Hen Do locations too here!
