The White Isle

What better reason than turning 30 to jump on a plane and hit The White Isle, which is exactly what we did for one of my besties big birthdays and what a fab four night break it was! Our group of 9 traveled out in smaller parties, the first of us to travel included me and the birthday girl – this called for 7am G&Ts at the airport and a quick run around duty free grabbing various bottles to keep us going for the weekend… Cue the British Airways flight and the next thing we know we’re checking into Villa Beso in San Antonio.

Villa Beso was booked via Ibiza Hire, a company that deal with anything and everything Ibiza related from club entry to villas and boat hire to restaurant reservations. The villa comprises of 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a living area, well equipped kitchen, private pool and terrace. The pool obviously being our favourite feature!

I also have to mention the local shop just opposite the villa, that on our first night made up a HUGE batch of freshly made sangria at the cheapest ever price, win!

We had three full (non travel) days in Ibiza, here’s the low down on what we got up to…

DAY ONE (Birthday Day, wahoo!)

Oceanbeat Boat Party – this was one giant day party in the middle of the sea with booze and music galore…If I celebrated my birthday like this I’d be one very happy gal.

Post party, we swapped our swimsuits for suitable dining attire and hit Tapas in San Antonio which played host for dinner, and it was truly scrumptious!

Following dinner we found a few rodeo bulls to ride before clubbing the night away at Es Paradis which was hosting a Hed Kandi night complete with the wonderful Lovely Laura on sax.

DAY TWO

Once we pulled our aching bodies and sore heads from bed and glammed up we hit the famous Ocean Beach where we’d reserved (most definitely necessary) sunset roof garden loungers. We ate, drunk, danced and partied the night away until close.

DAY THREE

The Holi Garden Festival was on the agenda for today and for those who haven’t been to one of these kind of events before its inspired by the original HOLI which takes place in India. There’s music, coloured powder,  and a whole load of fun!

Sadly, before we knew it it was time to pack the cases, clean the villa, run around the old town for souvenirs and make our way to the airport to head back to Blighty 😦 Until next time Ibiza…
