I’d read a long time ago on thetravelista.net about the Easy Rider experience and I just knew it had to be a part of our trip. As we were traveling north to south (and didn’t want to do a multi-day trip) we opted for the popular one-day Easy Rider Hue to Hoi An route, and it was up there as one of our best excursions ever.
I booked the trip via hueeasyrider.com and we were assigned Dr Phu and Bach as our drivers who picked us and our bags up on the morning of our trip and then we began to cover the 75 miles from Hue to Hoi An.
Along the way we took in the incredible sights of Elephant Springs where went for a dip, Lang Co Beach where we had lunch and Hai Van Pass which is likely the most famous part of the journey thanks to Top Gear. The bonus of the whole activity is that we got from A to B to continue our journey through Vietnam.
Dr Phu and Bach are very experienced drivers with many miles under their belts and their Honda bikes were actually pretty comfortable considering the amount of time spent on them especially with the regular breaks.
I would highly recommend an Easy Rider Hue to Hoi An (or vice versa) trip, but if you are a little faint-hearted you can take public transport or there is always the option of a 4-wheel trip instead.
